Pura Gumang
Long long time ago before Pura Gumang was built, When I Dewa Gede came from Java to Bali, Bali was not much in the existence of I Dewa Gede. In the beginning I Dewa Gede Bali didn’t want to become a leader. I Dewa Gede Bali aimed to explore the quiet and peaceful life. The Hill appeared in the Savior of that I Dewa Gede which occupied in Pura Gumang. Now the achieve mentquiet life is of an ordinary farmer. More farmers with a common effort to do just to work and to balance in his life of a farmer who’s living like a farmer’s business.
The existence of Pura Gumang in the Savior, Bugbug Village, Karangasem is related with the springs that flow through rice fields around the village Bugbug. Written description of the historical value of Pura Gumang at Pura Bukit Interpreters is still not yet been found. Description of the temple information is obtained from stakeholders such as parents who are in jan bangul Pura Gumang and also from the figures that people care about the Hindu religion and customs. Stories are obtained from generation to generation.
According to the story of the people registered by the Research Team History Pura IHD (now Unhi) told the following: In ancient times there is a form of I Dewa Gede called to come to Bali. I Dewa Gede needs time to come to Bali, Bali is not important. After a while I Dewa Gede travels in Bali finally found a place that is very calm to the heart. Hill is the place which is also called the Pura Gumang Hill.
There I Dewa Gede Tapa did this while farming with the local community. Interpreters in the area of montain (pura gumang) agriculture is rain on the water reservoir. An effort to make Hill did not stop conducting by the I Dewa Gede. In addition, I Dewa Gede Tapa is doing this by constantly seeking to Hyang Widhi Wasa to appear in springs and rivers for the fertility of agriculture in the surrounding community.
Does the effort to do with the rain water cistern and form of asceticism that eventually a time muncullah springs at Pura Gumang in the Savior now. The success of the business I Dewa Gede with farmers in the community and noetic this cause I Dewa Gede loved by the people. It was successful because bless of Hyang Widhi Wasa(God). Because of the bless of Pura Gumang it is finally established in the spring.
The word comes from Gumang became Pura Gumang ,seems small village which means that consensus. Because after I Dewa Gede Hill Savior successfully make it with the noetic sfaerie and ultimately the people have a conference in Bali or igum to hold a ceremony at Pura Gumang and give gifts to the cow I Dewa Gede. At that time I Dewa Gede provided additional names to be I Dewa Gede Gumang. Cow-cow reputedly offering the new people out after the time of Dutch colonialism and Japanese. Cow-cow is exhausted shoot and kill by the Netherlands and Japan who like hunting in the Hill is the Savior.
There is also another version about the existence of Pura Gumang this Savior. The Holy people I Negah Silur said, the times of the gods came down from Mount Mahameru in India to Java and Bali. In Bali, the gods to Pulaki, Silayukti, Candidasa. Candidasa is the gods to find water. The water is above the gods which will continue well into the park.
